The Invention of Hugo Cabret was at first, 'a pretty big book'. I would have never thought I could read such a huge novel, but the pictures I found within the book, made it so much more enjoyable and interesting to read.
It was unlike many other picture books or novels I have read, I haven't read many graphic novels but this must be one of the best. What hooked me to the book must have been the images that Selznick drew, it brought not only Paris in the 1930's to life, but the book itself. I suggest you get it on your 'must reads' now! |
